FEWLS would like to congratulate Aria Sheldon for the Undergraduate Research Fellowship 2023, awarded by the KU School of Engineering. Aria joined FEWLS in 2021, and she was one of the first members of the lab! Currently, she is working on the depolymerization of waste polyesters using supercritical carbon dioxide. This process has been developed to address the environmental issues attributed to the use of single-use plastics, with the goal of overcoming the technological and economical challenges of plastics recycling.
