Congratulations to Odiri Kingsley on his PhD defense!

The FEWLS family would like to congratulate Odiri Kingsley for successfully defending his PhD thesis with the title One-pot Synthesis of Liquid hydrocarbons by Hydrodeoxygenation of Lignocellulosic Biomass using Metal-loaded Zeolites as Catalysts. Odiri was the first KU graduate student working with FEWLS, and he was also the first to graduate with a PhD degree. He contributed highly to our success as a research group, as he helped build the lab and our research program from ground with his contributions to sustainable aviation fuel synthesis from lignocellulosic feedstocks and derivatives. Odiri graduated with four peer reviewed publications and a journal cover in Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research.
