Congratulations to Dacosta Osei for the Outstanding MS Research Award!

We are pleased to announce that Dacosta Osei, a former master's student at FEWLS, received the 2024 Outstanding MS Research Award from the KU Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering. This award aims to distinguish individuals who excelled in research during their masters degree in Chemical Engineering at KU.

Dacosta has successfully defended his master's thesis in May 2, 2024, with the title"Subcritical CO2-H2O Hydrolysis of Polyethylene Terephthalate as a Sustainable Chemical Recycling Platform". As a result of his outstanding research, he has published a scientific paper in RSC Green Chemistry, which was highlighted in the issue front cover.

After completing is master's degree, Dacosta joined Conagra Brands in Omaha, NE, where he is currently working as an Associate Process Engineer. The FEWLS Team would like to wish all the best to Dacosta in his personal and professional endeavours.
