Siakpebru Odiri Kingsley has recently joined our laboratory. He joined the University of Kansas in 2021 to pursue his graduate studies in Chemical Engineering. Odiri will be working at FEWLS under Prof. Ana Morais supervision on projects related to direct catalytic conversion of lignocellulosic biomass to liquid alkanes, which are aimed to be used as drop-in replacements for gasoline, jet-fuel and diesel.
"My research interests encompass energy sustainability and catalysis, with a focus on the synthesis of biofuels and biochemicals from renewable resources such as biomass."
Odiri has a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Nigeria. Before joining the University of Kansas, he worked as a Process Quality Engineer for over ten years across various companies, including Baker Hughes, Exxon Mobil, Technip-Crestech Engineering, and Cakasa.
Welcome to the team, Odiri. And good luck on your graduate studies!
